features

find photos and videos by describing them, remember your people, and tidy up with a swipe. it starts on your phone.

five tabs, one conversation.

you text memoe on home. everything else is one tap away.

• home.

text memoe what you remember. the history button brings back earlier conversations.

• people.

everyone memoe has found, with a page for each.

• clean up.

swipe through photos and videos. nothing is deleted until you confirm.

• albums.

every album in Apple Photos, ones made for you, and ones shared with friends.

• you.

your plan and library. sign out and delete account live here.

say it the way you remember it.

describe a photo or a video in plain words, then make an album from what turns up.

you: sunset by the sea in Japan

memoe: here are your photos.

• plain words.

people, places, colors, dates, even words in a photo. “april 5” means that day in every year.

• in any language.

type in the language you think in, or mix two. the app and its replies stay in English.

• photos, videos or both.

ask for “my videos” or “photos of mom”. a video plays muted when you tap it.

• more like this one.

tap find similar. memoe shows only photos that really look alike: a few, or none.

• it says what it can’t do.

a part of a sentence it can’t search is marked can’t search, so you know.

• albums.

put results in an Apple Photos album, or share them. memoe checks in Photos that the album really changed. a new album never adds to one you already have.

• made for you.

memoe makes albums of your trips, events and favorite things, and tells you when one is ready. dismiss one and you can bring it back.

• trips with friends.

tap share with friends after a trip, and everyone’s photos end up in one iCloud shared album that memoe reads on your phone.

remember your people through photos.

name someone once. after that, their name is a search.

you: mom at the beach last summer

memoe: who’s mom? tap her face.

• name them once.

search a name memoe doesn’t know, like mom, then tap their face when it asks who’s mom?

• a page for each person.

their photos newest first, a rename, an album. a quick same person? check keeps it tidy.

• which one is you?

when a friend’s shared album comes in, memoe asks which one is you? after that, “photos of me” works.

• names from your contacts.

memoe suggests who is who from contact pictures, on your phone. nothing is applied until you say yes.

• in videos too.

search for someone by name and memoe looks in your videos as well.

clean up

go through photos one at a time and decide with a swipe.

• swipe or tap.

right to keep, left to delete, or use the buttons. a heart favorites a photo.

• a deck for each way to tidy.

recent photos, similar shots, screenshots, videos, this day, trips and months.

• deleting is always reviewed.

left only fills a delete pile. you look it over, iOS asks you to confirm, and deleted items stay in recently deleted for 30 days.

• a reminder, only if you want one.

turn on the daily reminder in clean up, or leave it off.

your photos stay on your phone.

the short version. the long one, with who handles what, is in the privacy policy.

• your original photos

  never sent

they stay in Apple Photos. memoe reads them on your phone.

• shared albums

  never sent

read on your phone, faces included. never sent to the cloud, even with cloud checks on.

• videos

  never sent

read on your phone from a poster and a few frames. never sent to the cloud, not even a frame.

• small previews

  only if you say yes

tap allow cloud checks and memoe sends small 512 px previews of some photos, through its server, to OpenAI so a model can say what’s in them. memoe’s server doesn’t keep them.

• what you type

  sent

your sentence goes to the same model, with no photos. memoe’s server doesn’t keep it. offline, an iPhone with Apple Intelligence reads it on the phone and nothing is sent.

• faces and names

  on your phone

saved there and never uploaded, like your earlier conversations. delete account wipes them.

• your call

  always

tap not now and memoe sends no previews. search still works.

plans

free searches your newest 1,000 photos, and the videos taken since. memoe pro covers your whole library, videos included.
