The Memoe text program

Once you link your phone number in the memoe app, you can text memoe like you’d text a friend: ask about the people in your roster, tell memoe something to remember, or ask for a reminder or a follow-up. memoe replies with short texts. For anything sensitive or detailed, memoe may send a link that opens the app instead of putting it in a text.

The two kinds of texts

• Conversations you start. To link your number, you choose to connect your phone in the app, and memoe opens your Messages app with a one-time code. You send the code yourself. memoe confirms the link with a text, then replies to the texts you send.
• Proactive texts, only if you opt in. memoe only texts you first, for example with a reminder or a relationship follow-up, if you turn on proactive texts in the app. That’s a separate choice, off by default. It isn’t a condition of using memoe or of any purchase, and you can turn it off at any time.

When you turn on proactive texts, you’ll see and agree to this:

The waitlist doesn’t sign you up

Giving us your phone number on the memoe.co waitlist doesn’t enroll you in the Memoe text program or opt you in to proactive texts. We use it only to contact you about the waitlist and memoe’s launch.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies. How many texts you get depends on how often you text memoe and, if you’ve turned on proactive texts, on your reminders and activity. Message and data rates may apply; ask your mobile carrier for details.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any text from memoe to stop receiving texts at that number. You’ll get one text confirming that you’ve opted out, and memoe won’t text that number again unless you opt back in. UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work too. You can also turn off proactive texts in the app and keep texting memoe yourself. Opting out of texts doesn’t delete your memoe account.

Opting back in

Reply START or UNSTOP to resubscribe to texts from memoe at that number.

Carriers and delivery

The program is meant for mobile numbers in Canada and the United States. Delivery depends on your carrier, coverage and device, and isn’t guaranteed. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your phone number

Only link a phone number that’s yours. If you change or give up your number, unlink it in the app or reply STOP first, so memoe doesn’t text whoever gets the number next.

Privacy

We handle your phone number and messages as described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t sell or share your mobile number or text message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
